THIS is the tour you won't forget
I don't think we could be any happier with our unforgettable time in Bhutan. Sonam Toby was not just an amazing, informative guide, his love of his country is infectious. We were hosted by Sonam at ToBhutan, and I wanted to take the time to express my gratitude properly. It was an incredible seven-day journey, made all the more memorable by the exceptional service provided by Sonam and Jigme. Sonam, our tour guide, meticulously planned every detail of our trip with warmth, kindness, and sincerity. His fluency in English, combined with his deep knowledge of Bhutanese history and Buddhist teachings, enriched our experience immensely. His humorous anecdotes kept us entertained, and his genuine care ensured our comfort throughout the journey. I particularly appreciated Sonam's cultural insights and the opportunity to engage in meaningful exchanges with both him and Jigme. Dressing up in a traditional Kira at Punakha Dzong and interacting with Bhutanese locals were unforgettable highlights of the trip. Special thanks to Jigme for his safe driving and willingness to go above and beyond, including carrying my belongings during the Tiger Nest Hike. Our conversations during the journey added depth to the experience, and I'll cherish those memories. While traveling to Bhutan may come with a cost, the priceless experiences it offers, especially for those seeking peace and tranquility, make it worthwhile. I look forward to returning and exploring more of Bhutan with Sonam and Jigme as our guides. I highly recommend ToBhutan for their excellent service, reliability, and flexibility. TO Bhutan - a dream partner for the trip of a lifetime
Tobee and our driver Yenten were incredible. We spent 12 days with them touring Western and Central Bhutan and the time flew by. Prior to the trip Tobee worked closely with us on a custom itinerary that met our needs and throughout the adventure he modified the activities to adjust as necessary. Bhutan is an absolutely incredible country and Tobee’s passion and love for his homeland as well as his deep spirituality and his wide ranging knowledge made the trip so interesting, meaningful and moving. We visited his family monk, Lopen Dorji and received readings and blessings, we hiked mountain passes and trails with Tobee cheering us on and carrying our tea! Strenuous hikes were followed by hot stone baths or massages. I did not stop smiling from the time we flew in through the mountain pass to the time we left. Tip - treat yourself to at least one 5 star hotel on your trip. I highly recommend Gangtey Lodge, but Pemako and Amankora have some incredible properties too. I will return to Bhutan and wouldn’t dream of booking with anyone else but TO Bhutan. They ensure that everything (except options such as massages and personal purchases) are included in the trip price, including the farmhouse hot stone bath, dressing in traditional Kira, local meals etc. It was an extra special trip to a magical country made easy by Tobee’s organizational and planning skills.

A blast into Bhutan, an unforgettable experience...
I had heard many things about Bhutan from wandering travellers; "It is a place that you must go" "It is completely unique and untouched from the outside the world" "Like going into the past".... Through some connections I was able to organise a trip with a local guide named Dawa with the help of To Bhutan tour company. Their manager, Toby, was able to secure my visa for me, which I was finding extremely difficult. A real lifesaver. The experience was truly magical. The country was like no other I had ever visited. The iteniray that was planned had plenty of variation as well as freedom for deviation. The guide was very accommodating and informative on all aspects of Bhutan life which helped paint a vivid picture of a land so connected by nature, history and religion. Excellent Tour Company, under promised and over delivered!
My husband and I just returned from an 8 day Tour with To Bhutan. I highly recommend this company! It’s a little scary to pay upfront so much for a trip, hoping that the guides will show up and everything will go as promised…. But To Bhutan was there waiting for us, right after we exited Passport Control. Our trip went beautifully and I cannot say enough positive things about Sonam our guide, Jingpe our driver, and To Bhutan generally. Highly recommend for these reasons: Punctual, everyday. Clean, replenished car everyday. Safe driver. New suv. Excellent mix of activities and experiences, in between temples and Dzongs. Knowledgeable guide (historical,Buddhism , botany, geology and wildlife) with excellent language skills. Everything AS PROMISED, even better. No tricks or hidden expenses. Sonam and Jingpe had a sincere desire to ensure we had a wonderful time and an in-depth knowledge of Bhutan. Sonam was enthusiastic and patient with my thousands of questions about Bhutan’s society, history, wildlife, and Tantric Buddhism. Thank you! Vetting of all hotels and restaurants. All were excellent, comfortable, and clean with gracious hosts. By all means, go to Bhutan! See this wonderful country—-it will touch your heart with its commitment to compassion, one of its highest ideals. My life-changing, magical visit to Bhutan.
From the time we arrived until our departure ten days later, everything was perfectly planned out, the hiking, river rafting, temple visits, sightseeing, transportation, lodging and meals were all perfect. The extra attractions like planting trees, posting prayer flags and attending a local festival in full dress made the experience even more memorable. We even had some surprises like picnic lunches, cooking lessons and a private audience with a monk to name a few. The best travel adventure and the best guides! Spectacular experience thanks to a spectacular guide
Bhutan is a bucket list destination and Toby delivered a bucket list worthy experience. The attention to detail, the flexibility with our groups changing needs, his kindness and loving knowledge of his country, all made for memories I will hold dearly in my heart. Hiking, river rafting, early morning chanting with the monks, picnic lunches, local restaurants, homestay complete with cooking lessons, archery, darts, and the womens' weaving co-op, monasteries, temples, hanging prayer flags, visiting the llama, planting trees, a local festival complete with authentic attire to wear, and the list goes on. The trip was perfection and I can't thank Toby enough for creating 11 magnificent days I will forever cherish. If you've been thinking about going to Bhutan, GO. Fantastic Guide for an Amazing Experience!!
I simply cannot say enough good things about the wonderful trip Tobey provided! He and Dawa greeted our group with big smiles—and I don’t think any of us stopped smiling the entire 11-day journey! Not only did he plan amazing hikes through beautiful landscapes to help us work up to the final day Tigers Nest hike, but our trip was packed with cultural experiences that included seeing the makings of several local handicrafts, learning and trying out skills of archery and darts, visiting numerous monasteries, temples and fortresses, exploring local shops, water rafting, tasting local cuisine, picnic-ing outdoors, attending a holiday festival, and the list goes on! Tobey provided us with thorough explanations and insights into local traditions and practices, and was flexible, accommodating, supportive and kind with our entire group.
